Lake Oswego Youth Lacrosse Referees

If you are interested in being a referee for Lake Oswego Youth Lacrosse this Spring season, please check the OYLA website for clinic information. You will need to attend one of the Oregon Youth Lacrosse Association clinics in order to referee. The cost of the clinic is $35 and includes the 2013 rulebook, flag and whistle. This year you will have to purchase a black and white striped referee shirt. To register online go to OYLAX.org.

To referee at the youth level you need to:

• Sign up and attend a clinic (register at www.oylax.org)
• Pass an online test
• Purchase a black and white striped referee shirt
• Be a US Lacrosse member
• Complete the following forms:
  • LOYL 2013 Referee Application
  • 2013 W-4 form (IRS link)
  • I9 form (USCIS link, only required for new referees)

Referees are paid $25 (experienced J2/L2 referees are paid $30) per game. Experienced referees (J2) are eligible to referee Select games. J2 referees are by invitation only. If you were an L2 referee last year you should sign up for the J2 level clinic this year.
